Mall Cop

I stopped by the Burlington Mall (Burlington, Massachusetts) to pick up an adapter from the Apple Store for an upcoming trip, and stumbled onto the filming of a movie. It turns out a movie named Mall Cop is being filmed on location here.

The picture I snapped has two main characters, both mall cops, riding on Segways. Their backs are to the camera. The light in the distance is the spotlight shining on them as they film.

Easter Sunday

I Broke My Foot

Second bone (phalange) on the right foot. My first broken bone.

It happened while sparring at Tae Kwon Do. My partner blocked my kick with his glove, and my foot hit the floor and bounced. The match was stopped but I felt fine, so we kept going. It was only driving home that I started to feel pain, and the next morning saw how swollen the foot had become.

So I can't run, which is driving me crazy. The doctor says 6 weeks to recover.

Ten Years Ago This Month: March 1998

OK I have had some fun finding digging out digital pictures from ten years ago, back when digital photography was new (for us). In March 1998, Whit's parents visited us in Japan. Here are pictures we took while visiting Kyoto. Many of the pictures are from Kiyomizu, a large temple on the eastern hills of Kyoto and one of Paul's favorite places in Japan. It was also during cherry blossom season.
